We call them fundraisers. But we think of them as fun raisers.

Our volunteers, donors and contributors are the heart of Puget Sound Blood Center. This valuable partnership makes possible the lifesaving work and research we do, but is also much more than that. Through this relationship we are able to affect change in the lives of patients around the world and represent each member of our vibrant, progressive region. Each year, we have the opportunity to host several fundraising events, involving thousands of donors, volunteers and sponsors which help to raise community awareness and continue our pioneering research efforts.

Fourth Annual Golf Gets In Your Blood! | Tenth Annual Super Jock ’n Jill Marathon & Fun Run/Walk

Golf Gets In Your Blood!
Our fourth annual Golf Gets In Your Blood! tournament and auction was held in June at the Golf Club at Newcastle. Through partnering with the Bleeding Disorder Foundation of Washington, the Blood Center continues to raise awareness of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. This event also raises money for Camp I-VY, a summer camp for families who have children with bleeding disorders.

Super Jock ’n Jill
Each Labor Day weekend, runners (and fun-runners) across the region gather in Woodinville, Washington to take part in our yearly Super Jock ’n Jill Half Marathon and Fun Run/Walk. This event not only raises awareness of our research, medical, and blood and tissue programs, but also helps to sustain these efforts. Hundreds of participants take part and the proceeds from team sponsorships, individual pledges, and corporate donations directly benefit and support the Blood Center.

The Blood Center is much more than research and medical care, it is also an institution dedicated to honoring and celebrating life. And what better way is there to celebrate life than an evening of dancing? On March 17, guests gathered at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle for an evening of socializing, sumptuous cuisine and dancing. This reception and silent auction raised funds for our research and therapeutic programs, securing hope for the patients in our care, and all those who rely on our knowledge.
