Immunogenetics Laboratory

Transplantation from a Deceased Donor (Initial Evaluation of the Recipient - Cardiothoracic Transplants)

Transaction Code: 3101-00, 3084-00, 3084-01, 3083-06, (3083-08 and 3088-00 may be added if 3083-06 is positive)

The patient should be scheduled for initial testing which includes HLA and ABO typing, tests for antibodies to HLA. Candidates are also crossmatched with autologous lymphocytes to detect autoantibody.

Specimens Required: 50 ml ACD blood, 14-20 ml clotted blood
Analytic Time: 5 to 10 days
Days Test is Set Up: Monday through Friday
