Antibodies are monitored with a quantitative assay using flow cytometry and beads coated with recombinant or soluble HLA antigens from targeted alleles. Purposes of the test are to monitor patients after transplant for the appearance of antibodies to HLA antigens of the donor, and for monitoring the effects of antibody-reduction treatments in these patients.
