We Did It!

Thanks to support from our community, Puget Sound Blood Center has completed fundraising for a new bloodmobile. This project was possible thanks to blood donors, financial contributors, companies, foundations, and everyone who participated in Swim for Life. Thank you for investing in our community’s health. Your generosity saves lives!

Thanks to hundreds of generous contributors, the new vehicle will be ready to collect blood in our community this summer. Each year, the bloodmobile will collect 3,800 units of blood. Processed, the blood will help as many as 11,400 patients!

The bloodmobile is a self-contained, mobile donor center. The entire blood collection process, from donor screening to juice and cookies, takes place within the bus. Bloodmobiles are especially important to accommodate blood drives at locations that do not have space for all the equipment needed to conduct a drive. Bloodmobiles are compact and convenient, meaning we can conduct more blood drives and better meet the needs of patients throughout Western Washington.
