FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chip in to help a good cause!
JULY 1, 2005, SEATTLE WA —
Did you assume that ”bogey” was just a dead actor’s nickname? Think a tee time involves English pastry? Does “under par” mean “not feeling well” to you? When you heard that someone got a stroke, did you think he was in critical condition?
Doesn’t matter. We need your help anyway.
You don’t have to be a golfer to be a sponsor or volunteer at the 2nd annual Golf Gets In Your Blood Classic on July 22, 2005 at the Golf Club at Newcastle. If you want to play in the event, however, then you probably should understand the rules of the game, and know that in golf, a “slice” does not mean pizza and “hook” is not a local beer.
But please sign up, in any case. Proceeds from the event will help fund Puget Sound Blood Center’s research program and provide scholarships for children to attend the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of Washington’s Camp I-VY, a summer camp for children living with bleeding disorders. The goal is to raise $140,000 for these two vital programs.
So join master of ceremonies Dan Lewis of KOMO-4 TV, and spend the day at a challenging course with amazing views, enjoy a delicious dinner and take part in a fun auction – and remember that you’re helping kids to cope with diseases and scientists to find cures for them.
