OCTOBER, 23 2007, SEATTLE — Puget Sound Blood Center is answering the call for assistance from the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.Serving communities in Southern California suffering through devastating wildfires, the Blood Bank is reaching out to residents of Western Washington to help its community maintain its blood supply during this natural disaster.
Due to the fires, many mobile blood drives in Southern California have been cancelled and donors are unable to make it to donation centers due to the high winds and fire danger. Puget Sound Blood Center is helping by sending blood to their communities.Your help is needed as well.
Please call 1-800-398-7888 to schedule an appointment to donate today. Drop-ins at any of the Blood Center’s eleven Western Washington donor centers are always welcome. Visit www.psbc.org for a list of donor centers and their hours of operation.
